Protecting Those Who Work on the Edge

I did not start Navail because I wanted to build shoes.

I started Navail because my brother is a roofer.

I am an engineer with a background in research and development. My brother, on the other hand, works in the field as a roofer and carpenter. One day, while working on a steep corrugated steel roof, he felt he needed more safety and stability. He reached out to me for help.

At first, I assumed the market already offered good solutions. But after studying the best footwear available for steel roofers, it became clear that there was still significant room for improvement.

Then I saw the roofs he worked on.

Steep steel surfaces can become extremely slippery, especially when wet, dusty, or covered with morning condensation. The risk of slipping and falling is very real in this line of work.

I knew I had to do something to help my brother work more safely.

That is how Navail began.

Engineering Meets Real-World Experience

The idea was simple but ambitious: what if footwear could actively help prevent slips on steel roofs?

Turning that idea into a real product took years of engineering, prototyping, testing, and refinement.

We developed the Magnetic Work Boot together.

My brother and his crew provided the real-world user input and performed extensive field testing on actual job sites. They told us what worked, what failed, and what needed improvement.

I led the engineering and product development effort—designing, testing, refining, and solving the technical challenges required to turn the concept into a durable, practical safety product.

Neither of us could have done this alone.

A roofer without engineering expertise might understand the problem deeply but struggle to build the right solution. An engineer without field experience might create something technically impressive but irrelevant in real working conditions.

Navail exists because both perspectives came together.

Our Mission

Today, our mission goes beyond helping one roofer.

Making my brother safer was only the first step.

Now, we want to help roofers, solar installers, inspectors, and other professionals working on ferromagnetic steel surfaces benefit from the same level of safety and confidence.

At Navail, we design purpose-built magnetic safety footwear to enhance traction on steel surfaces while supporting safer, more efficient movement at height.

We believe slipping should not be accepted as part of the job.

We also believe better traction does not replace proper safety procedures. Navail footwear is designed to complement—not replace—harnesses, fall-arrest systems, and safe jobsite practices.

Our goal is simple:

Help more workers return home safely at the end of the day.

That is why we built Navail.
And that is why we keep improving it.
